Abstract

ABSTRACT:Enthesitis is a distinctive pathological feature of spondyloarthritis and may involve synovial joints, fibrocartilaginous joints, syndesmoses and extra-articular entheses. Extrarticular pain may often be present in rheumatoid arthritis patients. This review focuses on peripheral enthesitis which is a clinical hallmark of spondylarthritis, by comparing the same findings in rheumatoid arthritis.
